OUR STORY
It Started With the
Dogs Beside Us.
RCL™ began with a simple desire: to help the dogs we love stay active, comfortable, and beside us for as many adventures as possible.
Tango — the dog who started the journey.
IT STARTED WITH TANGO
The Dog Who Changed Everything.
After leaving corporate America, I decided to take my life in a completely different direction and enrolled at the Tom Rose School for Dog Trainers, where I became a Certified Master Dog Trainer.
Part of that training meant working with puppies. One of mine was Tango. I became completely enamored with him. To me, Tango was perfection. He worked incredibly hard beside me and helped me through my training, but somewhere along the way he became much more than the dog I was training.
I wanted him around for a long time.
Tango began eating a raw diet at just six weeks old, and caring for him started me on a deeper journey into nutrition and holistic wellness. As he grew older and began to slow down, I kept searching for ways to support his comfort, mobility, and quality of life.
THE SEARCH FOR SOMETHING BETTER
The Question Eventually Changed.
I tried supplements and explored alternative approaches, including Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) therapy. Some things helped a little, but often only for a while. So I began going deeper—reading scientific studies and researching ingredients beyond the traditional joint-support options I already knew.
The more I learned, the clearer something became: there wasn't one ingredient that did everything. Different ingredients supported different aspects of joint and whole-dog biology. I spent countless hours following that science, studying new ingredients, and asking questions.
I had already tried the conventional approach, and for Tango, it wasn't enough. So I kept looking.
FROM RESEARCH TO RCL™
A Different Way of Thinking.
There wasn't one dramatic moment when I decided to create RCL™. It happened gradually. Over time, my research kept bringing me back to ingredients that approached joint and whole-dog support in very different ways.
I began wondering what would happen if those ingredients were brought together intentionally—not as a long list of ingredients, but as a formulation in which each one had a specific job.
I also knew what I didn't want to make. If I was going to make something for my own dogs, I wanted to know what was in it, understand why it was there, and keep the product as straightforward as I reasonably could.
CARRYING TANGO FORWARD
Worth Carrying Forward.
Everyone who knew Tango knew there was something special about him. To me, he was the “it” dog—the kind of dog that changes your expectations of what the relationship between a person and a dog can be.
I knew that was worth carrying forward. That belief eventually led me into breeding British Labradors, with a goal that became bigger than simply producing beautiful or capable dogs. With every generation, I wanted to move forward—to make thoughtful decisions that could contribute to healthier dogs, better quality of life, and, ultimately, more years with the people who love them.
That same goal became part of RCL™.
We believe every dog deserves more good days, more adventures, and more time beside the people they love.
Because after everything Tango taught me, the measure of success isn't simply how long a dog lives. It's how well they live during those years—and how many of those years we get to share with them.
THAT'S WHY RCL™ EXISTS.
